Healthy Home & Living Expos

Healthy Home & Living Expos are held at and in partnership with local schools. 100% of fundraising proceeds go directly to the school group partner to support their green schools programs and services.

The expo promotes healthy/green living and highlights the commitment of local businesses and community organizations to a healthier world. The event offers a wide variety of exhibits, entertainment and education. 

Admission is $5 at the door and donated in full to the school partner organization.

A GREEN Event

MI Green Team is pleased to offer an event-wide effort to provide an eco-friendly experience. Supporting the exhibits and activities are initiatives in energy, materials and design:

  • when available, electricity will be produced on site using biodiesel generator and solar photovoltaic (PV) systems; 
  • compostable and recyclable food service disposables will be used; 
  • and a web-based event guide, including map and exhibitor/program listings. 
  • donations from visitors are used to offset their travel to the event thru the purchase of carbon offset credits.
Behind the scenes, the festival limits paper consumption by using online registration forms, keeping printed marketing materials to a minimum, and using recycled paper when printing is required. Also, the festival gives preference to local suppliers to reduce “embedded energy” and to promote local economy.
